Jamie Burt, Counselor

  • My name Mrs. Burt, and I am the school counselor at Elberta Middle School. I am so excited for this school year! I am originally from southern Baldwin County, and I went to Troy University for my undergrad and then to the University of West Alabama for my master's. I came back here to Baldwin County because there is just no place like home. Growing up, my teachers always had such a tremendous impact on my life, so I wanted to serve students in the same capacity. I taught high school for 11 years, and while teaching, I also coached volleyball and softball, sponsored Peer Helpers, and our student journalism staff. I really enjoy working with students and truly feel I have landed a dream job as a school counselor here at EMS. I have two children and a third child– my husband (Kidding!). In my free time, you can find me hanging out with my family, cruising on the boat, sipping coffee, and searching for ways to make people smile!

Please don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or need assistance throughout the school year. I am here to help
