WHAT TO PREPARE:

• Prepare one of the given monologues: Pick a monologue and go to town! Show us the level

  of fun you’re willing to have with your character!

• Prepare part of a song: Prepare 16-32 bars of any musical theater song in the style of the

  show. The selection should not exceed 1 minute. Sing something that showcases you and

  your talent and range.

• Bring accompaniment: Bring an accompaniment track on your phone to connect to our

  bluetooth speaker. No acapella auditions, please.

• Prepare “Let Me Drive the Bus:” The sheet music/lyrics are provided in the packet, and the

  track can be found on the Pelican Players’ Schoology Page or the Pelican Players’ page on the

  school website (under Organizations).

• Please slate as you begin. “Hello, my name is _____, and today I’ll be singing _______.”

• Focus on acting/connecting/expression! Perform for us like you’re performing in your living

  room for your cat/dog/hamster/etc. Perfection is not expected – we’re hoping to see your

  potential!

• Casting timeline: After callbacks have been completed, the cast list will be posted within a few

  days.
